Wanted: Library Director – Millbury Public Library
Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to: Planning and supervises all operations of the public library; conducts public relations programs and promotes library services; manages staff, volunteers, and coordinates staff functions; prepares budget and pursues supplemental sources of funding; manages and maintains Public Library structures; and serves as an official representative to regional and state agencies and professional organizations. Qualifications: Masters degree in library and information science (MLIS) from an ALA accredited program; three years or more of experience in professional library work with two years as administrator or supervisor; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience; familiarity with library-related technology; professional certification from the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners. All applicants must be able to pass a criminal background/CORI check. Starting Salary: $59,885 DOQ.
