Job Description

The town of Reading is seeking a Maintenance Worker certified as either an HVAC Technician or Electrician in the Facilities Department.

Expected Hiring Range: $30.97-$40.54 per hour

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three to five years of related HVAC/R or Electrician experience
  • Experience with the use of technology (specifically work order system)
  • HVAC: CFC Recovery License required, Refrigeration License required, Pipe Fitter’s license preferred not required
  • Electrician: Electrician license in MA required
  • Valid Class D Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record required

Work Hours

This is a full-time position with typical 40 hours per week and on-call emergency status during unscheduled work hours.
