The town of Andover seeks an experienced office assistant to work under the direction of the Town Collector/Treasurer and Supervisor of Water/Sewer Billing to assist in water/sewer billing and collection, perform bookkeeping and account maintenance duties and provide customer service.

Duties include: bookkeeping and account work related to the water/sewer billing process; provide assistance to customers of the department; provide coverage for Water/Sewer Billing Supervisor and assist in water/sewer problem reconciliation; schedule special water readings; and issue boat plates and parking stickers.

Duties require two years of secretarial or business school, with knowledge of office administration, secretarial practices, financial record keeping and automated office systems, as well as three years related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
