The town of Andover seeks qualified applicants for the position of Office Assistant IV in the Department of Community Services. Under the direction of the Director of Community Services, the Assistant is responsible for varied administrative, accounting and clerical duties, including maintenance of financial and accounting operations of the Division of Elder Services and Recreation and Parks. Other duties include processing accounts payable, tracking payments, performing administrative and bookkeeping functions, as well as assisting with Division budgets.
Successful applicants will have bachelor’s degree in business or related field, one to two years’ experience in office administration, including bookkeeping/accounting duties, with some experience with social media marketing preferred. Duties require high proficiency in multiple software programs including Microsoft Office, financial database systems, and web-based registration platforms, as well as proficiency in social medical and basic website maintenance. Salary range starting at $27.99 per hour, commensurate with experience.
