The town of Littleton is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time 40 hours/week, benefit eligible Office Coordinator/Administrative Assistant position in the Department of Land Use and Buildings. Responsibilities include professional, administrative, and office manager support to the Building Planning, Conservation, Board of Health, and Zoning Board of Appeals Departments collectively referred to as the Department of Land Use & Buildings. This is achieved through the performance of moderately difficult office tasks requiring written and verbal correspondence, data entry, record keeping, filing, office management and relevant financial duties associated with the office and working directly with customers and other municipal personnel. This ideal candidate will work cooperatively with the public and other employees in a very busy and at times fast paced office environment. Successful applicant will be capable of multitasking, possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate professionalism, be well versed in all business software including Microsoft Office Suite, and must possess ability to learn new software.

Successful candidate will have an associate’s degree or work towards an associate degree plus additional education or experience in business administration preferred; and two to three years of experience in administrative work involving public contact; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Municipal experience is desirable. Previous management experience preferred. Position will be subject to a thorough background check including drug and alcohol testing.

Starting pay rate is $26.71- $28.06/hour, commensurate with experience. This is a non-exempt position governed by the Personnel Bylaw.
