Job Summary

The Framingham Housing Authority is seeking an Owner’s Project Manager for the gut-rehab renovation project of 125 family units. The project has an estimated cost of approximately $43 million. The project has extensive infrastructure work, utility relocation, the rehabilitation of 31 buildings, and the construction of a new community center. This project is to last approximately three years. The chosen candidate will be an employee of the Framingham Housing Authority eligible for a full benefit package and the city pension system. The chosen candidate needs to be available to start work in October of 2021.

Responsibilities (not limited to)

  • Work with the architect and development team on the bidding of all three phases of construction
  • Serve as a representative in meetings with utility companies, the DPW, and the building inspector
  • Work with development consultants on the project side of closing on financing
  • Work with the civil engineering team
  • Work as a liaison between the FHA and the architect on resolving information issues
  • Handle all change orders
  • Facilitate weekly project meetings
  • Manage and advise the clerk of the works that will be in the field
  • Solve problems as they arise in the field
  • Execute and manage project close-out and archive of as-built drawings


  • Five to seven years of experience in the public construction sector
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction or architectural management
  • Education can be substituted for experience
  • Available to work Monday through Friday 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Able to commit three years to this project
  • Familiar with the infrastructure of a large campus
  • Familiar with construction software
  • Familiar with RFIs
  • Proven successful completion of projects of similar size and complexity
  • Has an unrestricted Construction Supervisor’s License
  • Has worked in a public and municipal labor setting
  • Knowledge of construction contracts
  • Familiar with a public project pay requisition and how it functions
  • Intermediate skills with computers, Microsoft Office, and Outlook
  • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings
  • Organizational skills
