The town of Avon seeks qualified applicants for an Accounting Clerk to provide general support and data management for the Accounting Department. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, processing the weekly AP Warrant, processing incoming mail and bills, comparing invoices to contracts/procurement submittals for consistency and accuracy, verifying monthly statements from vendors and resolving any discrepancies, and other departmental responsibilities, as necessary. High school diploma is required, associate’s degree or higher is preferred with one to two years of clerical experience working with upper-level management. Municipal experience a plus. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel. This is a part-time, non-benefited, non-union position, not to exceed 19 hours per week. The hiring range is $20.29 – $22.40 per hour.
