The town of Mattapoisett is seeking applicants for the position of Payroll/HR Coordinator. The Payroll/HR Coordinator is responsible for the processing of all weekly/bi-weekly payrolls for the school and town Departments. Responsible for all benefits administration and processing for active and retired employees. Ability to maintain accurate and extensive records and generate reports from the same. Position requires strong organizational, analytical, communication, and computer skills. Must have strong attention to detail. Skill in dealing tactfully, appropriately and effectively with the general public, town departments and various financial institutions and companies. Must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position. Associate’s degree in human resource management, business administration, finance or related field; Bachelor’s preferred.  Must have three to five years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Human Resource certification is a requirement of this position and must be obtained within five years. Union position; 35 hours per week.
