The town of Wilbraham (Pop 15,000) is located in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts, approximately 80 miles west of Boston. Wilbraham is considered a quiet, suburban/rural and safe town which is an ideal place to raise a family. Its schools and recreational opportunities are of high quality.
The educational qualifications for this position are a master’s degree in urban or regional land use planning or other related discipline, with American Planning Association Certification preferred. The ideal candidate will offer three to five years of full-time professional employment in municipal or regional planning, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong interpersonal and public relation skills, considerable knowledge of the theory, principles and techniques of the planning profession and development process, and extensive knowledge of federal, state and local laws, ordinances and codes pertaining to a wide variety of planning topics is required.
The town offers a comprehensive benefit package and professional work environment. Salary range is $58,212 to $87,317 DOQ.
