Planning Director
The town of Stow (population appx. 7,000) seeks qualified applicants for the position of Planning Director. This full-time, 37.5 hour position is perfect for a dynamic, creative, and enthusiastic individual looking to make a big difference in a growing small town. With three airports, four golf courses, four apple orchards, and two Christmas tree farms, several unique projects are in the pipeline, including a for-profit private academy, a public-private partnership that includes mixed-income housing, open space and recreational fields, a variety of transportation upgrades, as wells as a much anticipated Comprehensive Plan update.
A bachelor’s degree in urban/regional planning, or related field required; master’s degree preferred. Five to seven years of related experience, preferably in a municipal or regional setting; or any equivalent combination of education, and experience. AICP Certification is preferred. Must possess a valid Massachusetts Driver’s License.
Salary: Grade 7 of the Town’s Compensation and Wage Schedule, with a FY23 salary range of $71,585 to $93,901. Benefits eligible.
