Job Description

The Ttwn of Westborough Planning Board seeks candidates for the position of Director of Planning to perform highly skilled administrative, supervisory and technical work in the monitoring, development and implementation of short-, intermediate-, and long-term planning initiatives in accordance with policies set by the Planning Board, town bylaws and state laws. This position is appointed by, and reports to, the five-member elected Planning Board.

The ideal candidate will be looking to join a team that values professionalism, accountability, integrity and responsiveness. Qualifications include the following: Master’s degree in urban or regional planning, public administration, or related field and five years of progressively responsible planning experience including supervisory and administrative experience or equivalent education and experience; a valid driver’s license; and the ability to attend Planning Board and other public meetings, some of which may be held outside of normal working hours.

The salary range for this full-time, benefit-eligible position is $101,896 – $132,695; starting salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
