The Town of Harvard is seeking a progressive, community-oriented Police Chief (MGL c. 41, S. 97A) to lead the $1.2M department consisting of 7+ FT officers and 2 administrative staff. The ideal candidate will be committed to the concepts of 21st century policing in a town of 5900 residents, and be skilled at community outreach and messaging. Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field; advanced degrees desired, seven to ten years of progressively responsible police management experience with at least three years in a supervisory capacity. Annual salary, commensurate with qualifications, to be set by employment contract. Position open until filled with preference granted to resumes received by September 17, 2021.
