The town of Shirley Police Department is currently accepting applications to fill a full-time police officer position.
Minimum Requirements are a high school diploma; those candidates with a college degree in criminal justice, human services, public administration and or (related field) are desirable. A Full-Time MPTC/MCJTC/SSPO Recruit Police Academy only.
Benefits include a 4/2 schedule, 75/25 Health Coverage. Short-Term and Long-Term Disability, Paid Holidays, sick-time, $1,500 uniform allowance, $500 Narcan Stipend, EMT Stipend $250, Opportunity for overtime and paid details. Starting salary is $50,685.82 annually plus education incentive, along with evening and midnight shift differential. Current detail rate is $59.51 an hour.
Candidates would need to complete and pass all phases of the selection process including interviews, background investigation, medical and psychological examinations.
