Truro Police is accepting applications for the position of Police Sergeant. As a first-line supervisor, the sergeant performs general police duties, and is responsible for evaluating employees and ensuring their compliance with legal and policy  requirements.

This full-time position has a comprehensive benefits package and a salary range of $80,154 – $86,752, DOQ, excluding overtime, details, educational incentives, holiday pay, and shift differential.

Qualifications: Five years’ experience as a full-time police officer and ability to meet all MPTC and POST requirements before appointment. Supervisory experience is preferred, but candidates with progressively responsible experience, such as FTO Certification or OIC duties will be considered.

An offer of employment is conditional and subject to the applicant successfully completing medical and psychological screenings and a thorough background examination.
