The Principal Assessor is responsible for the professional, administrative, and technical management of all assessment functions for the town of Millis. This position ensures that all real and personal property is assessed fairly and equitably in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws, Department of Revenue regulations, and accepted appraisal practices. The Principal Assessor serves as the chief technical advisor to the Board of Assessors and provides leadership in valuation, revaluation, tax rate setting, abatements, exemptions, and public assistance.
