The town of Southborough invites dynamic applicants with superb professional qualifications to apply for the vacant position of Full-Time Recreation Program Coordinator for the Southborough Recreation Department.
Working under the direction of the Recreation Director, this individual will organize, plan, and supervise a comprehensive community recreation program for all age groups. The employee will assist in the design of brochures, coordination of facility use, maintain inventory, program budgeting, and carry out any other task as directed appropriately by the Recreation Director. This employee supervises up to 80 seasonal employees and must possess exemplary customer service skills.
Computer proficiency in all MS Office programs required; fluency in MyRec.com registration software desired. Social media knowledge is essential.
A bachelor’s degree in recreation or related field is preferred with at least two years prior experience in recreation/activities program management, preferably in a municipal setting or equivalent; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid Massachusetts driver’s license required. Must be able to work flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends & holidays on occasion. Pay range starts at $54,230; this position is eligible for the generous town benefit package.
