The town of Bedford is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Recreation Program Coordinator. Under the supervision of the Recreation Director, the Program Coordinator’s responsibilities include carrying out a comprehensive recreation program for the town, and supervision of seasonal employees and volunteers. The Recreation Department works closely with the Health and Human Services Department (COA, Health and Youth and Family Services Departments), schools and DPW. This position will primarily focus on coordinating Youth programming but will also be involved in other programing as needed.

Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in management, education or related field, along with three to five years of experience in recreation, or equivalent combination of education/experience. Successful candidate will have knowledge of recreation policies and procedures, supervisory experience, and excellent communication, computer and customer service skills. Municipal experience is a plus. Starting Salary range is $71,927 to $76,000, depending upon experience.
