The town of Watertown seeks a qualified, reliable and precise professional who will provide clerical support in the Treasurer/Collector’s office 37.5 hours per week. The qualified candidate will assist the public with inquiries, process real estate, personal property, excise tax, parking tickets, water/sewer payments, abatements and refunds. Collects money; keep detailed records; balance payments received; daily reconciles receipts and a variety of related duties. Must have excellent customer service skills; organizational skills and computer skills; ability to work effectively under time constraints to meet deadlines; and to contribute to a team effort in the department. Requires working a rotation of Tuesday evenings until 7:00pm.

Required Qualifications
High school diploma (or GED) with three years experience in an office setting dealing with bookkeeping, accounts receivable, or finances; associate’s degree preferred. Familiarity with municipal taxation, MUNIS Software system, Microsoft Office Software and web-based systems. Ability to work well with the public is essential. Cash handling experience and computer skills are required.

BEGINS: $1,747.79 per bi-weekly, with an excellent benefit package.
