Due to a well-deserved retirement, the town of Concord is seeking a Public Health Director to promote, direct and enhance public health and the well-being of all people and the environment of the town. Under the direction of the Director of Planning & Land Management, the Public Health Director ensures that the Health Division meets the town’s commitment to customer service, legal compliance, board support, resource management and staff development, and facilitates information sharing, communication and collaboration among the Board of Health, Select Board and Town Manager. The Director also manages public health services to the town of Lincoln through an inter-municipal agreement.

The successful candidate will be committed to providing exceptional public health services, resources, and guidance to our residents and business community, and will be highly motivated to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interactions with staff, residents, contractors, business owners, and real estate agents. Candidates must have exceptional organizational, written and verbal communication skills, as well as proficiency with MS office software.
