The town of Lexington seeks qualified applicants for the full-time position of Public Health Director. Under the general direction of the Assistant Town Manager for Development, this position is responsible for developing, managing and assessing comprehensive Environmental Health, Community Health and Public Health Emergency Preparedness programs. Supervises 1.5 full-time equivalents as well as various vendors brought in for special projects. Qualified applicants will have a bachelor’s degree in public health, biology or chemistry and three to five years of experience in public health or environmental health administration, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Registration as an Environmental Health Specialist or Sanitarian (REHS/RS) preferred. Anticipated hiring range: $87,762-$99,191 (Full salary range to $110,557).
