The Town of Watertown seeks a Public Health Nurse who will provide professional public health nursing and administrative work; provide and organize various public health and community programs and services, emergency preparedness, grant research and preparation and other related work.  Works under the direct supervision of the Director of Public Health and/or his or her designee. Responsible for assessing the public health needs of the community, addressing issues of concern and planning interventions; participates in the department budget process.  Investigates, reports, and takes follow-up actions regarding communicable and infectious diseases. Plans and implements immunization clinics, influenza and pneumonia clinics and blood pressure clinics; maintains and updates all records associated with immunizations; conducts tuberculosis testing and reports results. Conducts home visits relative to sanitary code violations and conducts follow-up. Assists with organizing internship programs and oversees the work of community health interns. Qualifications: Registered Nurse; Bachelors degree preferred; 2 years of nursing experience; public health experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Driver’s license with good driving history required.  Light to moderate physical effort is required. Salary Range Begins: $ 66,041 per year plus excellent benefit package, training, paid holidays, vacation, sick time, retirement and deferred compensation, cafeteria plans, employee assistance program and more.
