The Public Health Nurse performs many and varied nursing duties to reduce incidence of disease and promote the health and well-being of the residents of Acton. The Public Health Nurse is responsible for all clinical programs; communicable disease surveillance and control; public health emergency preparedness, planning, and response; ensuring compliance with relevant public health laws and regulations; and various other public health functions.
Minimum Entrance Requirements: RN graduate of diploma or degree program (from an accredited college or university). Current license to practice nursing in Massachusetts. Ability to write in a legible understandable manner, read, speak and understand English. Minimum of two years of public health nursing experience.
