The town of Shrewsbury is seeking a Business Manager to lead the financial and administrative heart of our Department of Public Works (DPW). In this vital role, you will manage the fantastic DPW Business Management team of eight full-time employees, and champion sound financial stewardship, overseeing budgeting, billing, accounts payable, and internal controls, while developing streamlined procedures and leveraging data to guide smart decision-making. Working across all DPW divisions, you will strengthen communication, elevate customer service, and foster a ‘One Team’ culture rooted in accountability and continuous improvement. The Business Manager will oversee customer service, utility billing, accounts payable, permitting, solid waste and recycling, and budget development for the Department of Public Works.

We are seeking an experienced Financial Leader who brings a bachelor’s degree and five years of experience and knowledge in business management, personnel management, municipal accounting, or an equivalent combination.

Hiring Range: $96,000 – $110,000 annually (DOQ)
