The town of Lunenburg is seeking applications from qualified individuals for the position of Recreation Director. This position is responsible for administrative and supervisory work to establish, sustain, and maintain recreational programs, activities, and facilities; and to promote and enhance recreational opportunities throughout the community. Minimum of high school diploma; bachelor’s degree in recreation administration or related field preferred; three years of increasingly responsible professional experience in providing recreation services, and supervision of personnel preferred; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have valid Driver’s License. Qualified applicants will have a working knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques of park management, maintenance, and construction; knowledge of grounds keeping equipment and tools. This is a non-union, Grade 9 Salary Administration Plan position, $21.25-$26.12/hr; hours will vary each week but generally 19/hours/week; no benefits.
