The position requires knowledge of and experience with regional planning principles and state, regional and local land use regulations and permitting processes in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; experience with general office procedures; excellent oral and written communication skills, public presentation skills, organization skills and project management skills; ability to prepare reports, memoranda and decisions; ability to participate as a member of a team of regulatory officers, planners, engineers and technical staff; and ability to manage projects and work independently.

Bachelor’s degree in planning, environmental science, law or related field; master’s degree or Juris Doctor preferred; minimum of one year of experience in land use planning or regulatory work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
