The Town of Rockport, a picturesque Cape Ann community with a population of roughly 7,200, seeks candidates for the position of Town Administrator, which reports to a five-member Board of Selectmen. Rockport is a seaside community popular with tourists, artists, fishermen and nature lovers.  Responsibilities include budget preparation ($29 million), collective bargaining, procurement, human resources, and administration of daily operations as found in the job description.  The Town Administrator position functions as the Chief Administrative and Financial Officer and has broad budgetary and supervisory authority and responsibility over all municipal operations.  Requires 5+ years of experience in municipal administration and MPA/MBA strongly preferred.  Familiarity with Massachusetts laws, proven leadership abilities, excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills a must.  Salary commensurate with position requirements and experience.  Note: Strong Internal Candidate.
