Seeking a Senior Payroll Clerk to manage full-cycle municipal payroll and pension reporting. This
role requires three to five years of experience navigating Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs), tax compliance, and year-end audits. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, discretion with confidential information, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a municipal environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Demonstrated experience in payroll processing and financial administration.
• Strong understanding of invoice processing, reconciliation, and recordkeeping.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial/payroll systems.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or associates degree; training in business, accounting and payroll /
accounting software; two to three years of experience with payroll processing; or any equivalent
combination of education and experience. Previous experience in banking and/or accounting
helpful.
