SENIOR ASSISTANT ASSESSOR

The city of Worcester seeks applicants for the position of Senior Assistant Assessor (Commercial Appraiser) to carry out research, develop appraisal schedules, and reappraise apartment, mixed use, commercial and industrial properties independently. Other responsibilities include appraisal and data collection field work. This position requires advanced appraisal skills and exercises prudent appraisal judgement.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, real estate, or related field.
  • Three years of experience in valuing commercial and/or industrial properties, OR;
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the above mentioned requirements.
  • Two years of supervisory experience.
  • MAA designation OR ability to obtain within two years of appointment.
  • Valid MA Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation.

SALARY RANGE: $56,853.77 – $76,034.61 annually, full-time, excellent benefits package.
