The town of Webster is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Sewer Superintendent to supervise, lead and coordinate the operations of the town’s wastewater collection and treatment systems and to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines. This position will work with the Board of Water Sewer Commissioners and a 12-person staff to conduct all aspects of the operation of 19 pump stations, 57 miles of pipe, and the advanced wastewater treatment plant. The applicant shall have a minimum of seven years of progressive responsibility in a similar-sized utility with a minimum of three years of upper management supervisory experience. The applicant shall have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent higher education, training or experience is required in addition to holding a current Massachusetts Grade 7 Operators license, or be able to obtain within one year of hire. The annual compensation range for this salaried position is $95,000 – $105,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
