The town of Andover’s consolidated Information Technology Department, serving both the municipal and the school sides of Andover, is looking to enhance its Solutions Team. These roles plan, design and oversee the implementation of application solutions to meet the needs of the organization. This primarily includes the selection, configuration and deployment of third party software into our existing application eco-system. The ideal candidates are able to gather and document end user requirements; analyze and improve business processes; design comprehensive solution architectures; possess strong data and database skills; and manage project plans and teams. Detailed skills in HTML5, Javascript, Python, SQL, etc. are a plus.

The Solution Architect role will oversee a substantial number of mission critical applications. Duties require a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or similar field, with a master’s degree preferred; five to seven years of progressively responsible management and technical experience in systems analysis, software implementation, programming, business processes/implementation consultation with supervisory experience in project management; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. The Solution Manager will work on a smaller number of highly focused projects as the primary implementer. Duties requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or similar field with zero to five years’ experience.
