SPECIAL PROJECTS MANAGER

EXECUTIVE OFFICE OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

The City of Worcester seeks candidates for Special Projects Manager. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the position is responsible for significant projects, activities, and initiatives within the Office of Economic Development. This includes construction project management, program management, interdepartmental coordination, providing professional assistance to developers, contractors, bidders, businesses, other governmental agencies, and the general public; as well as preparation of recommendations and reports, outreach and marketing, and general staff support.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Three (3) years of related project management experience
  • Experience managing contractors, vendors, and/or consultants
  • Experience monitoring and managing program budgets 

SALARY RANGE: $64,075.28 – $71,234.18 annually, full-time
