The city of Gloucester is seeking qualified, experienced, and energetic candidates for the position of Staff Planner within the Community Development Department, to engage in development review and to undertake planning initiatives for the sustained growth and vitality of Gloucester, Massachusetts. This position will have a leading role in implementing housing policy, open space and resilience planning and project reviews. Work requires project management, policy analysis and the management of processes to facilitate extensive community involvement. Excellent written and oral communication skills needed. Excellent interpersonal skills required. The successful candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in planning, or closely related field, and two years of related professional experience.
