The town of Lexington seeks qualified applicants for the full-time position of Superintendent of Highways, Equipment and Drains in the Department of Public Works. Under the general direction of the Manager of Operations, this position is responsible for planning, implementing, directing and reviewing street maintenance and repair, snow removal operations, road resurfacing, construction and repair of drainage systems and other related maintenance and repairs. Responsible for the direct supervision of 10 to 15 FTE employees. Qualified applicants will have an associate’s degree in engineering or a related field and five to seven years of increasingly responsible experience in public works’ highway maintenance; or any equivalent combination of education and experience and a valid Massachusetts Driver’s License. Anticipated hiring range: $84,913 – $99,333 plus up to $7,000 in stipends.
