This full-time, benefited position is responsible for implementing and monitoring the town’s energy use programs and protocols, as well as the town’s environmental strategies that seek to reduce the town’s carbon footprint. The position supports efforts to: identify climate hazards facing the town; examine town strengths and vulnerabilities; identify opportunities to enhance the town’s overall resiliency; and reduce consumption of natural resources by municipal/school services and residents. The incumbent works both independently and as part of a team of professionals. Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences/energy management/public administration/business or related discipline; four to six years of environmental advocacy and/or energy efficiency experience required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
