Town of Deerfield (population 5,125), located in Franklin County, along the Connecticut River and Deerfield River Valleys in Western Massachusetts is seeking a Town Administrator. Annual budget of 15 million, three-member Select Board and approximately 40 full-time employees. The Select Board is seeking an individual with strong budget and financial management skills, experience with grant preparation and management, personnel management, and negotiating collective bargaining agreements. Candidates should possess excellent written and oral communication skills, a positive attitude, and demonstrated leadership ability. A bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, or similar relevant field is preferred; a master’s degree is a plus. Experience in town management is preferred, but candidates with executive municipal management and finance or comparable experience are encouraged to apply. Salary is negotiable based on experience and training. Residence is not a requirement.
