The town of North Andover seeks candidates with municipal experience for the position of Town Clerk.
Essential Functions: Supervises and oversees the functions of the Town Clerk’s office, including serving as custodian of all records, licensing administrator, chief elections officer, Justice of the Peace, and Notary Public. Maintains and ensures compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal statutes. This position reports to the Director of Administrative Services.
Qualifications: Associate’s degree; supplemented by at least three to five years of experience in a clerk/administrative assistant role, elections, records management, or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Thorough knowledge of state and local laws governing elections, licensing, vital statistics and related laws governing Town Clerk’s Office. Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with the public, town officials, and other town employees. Knowledge of Google, MS Word, Excel, the State Voter Registry Information System and the Vitals Information Partnership System.
Compensation: Starting salary based on education and experience.
