The town of Easton is accepting applications for a qualified, technical professional to fill the position of full time Director of Information Technology. The Director is responsible for managing the town’s information technology (IT) systems and infrastructure in all town departments.
Duties include but are not limited to: Planning, maintaining, improving and overseeing the use and effectiveness of all information technology systems and infrastructure in all town departments using local and cloud based solutions; troubleshoots and provides technical support for all municipal departments; oversees the strategic, organizational, operational, physical, and tactical IT needs for the Town; maintains Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN)s; tracks, maintains, upgrades all physical inventory, plans equipment replacement; upgrades software as appropriate; provides a Help Desk Model for employee user problems and establishes protocols for outside vendor troubleshooting if necessary; recommends and submits annual operational and capital budgets.
Recommended Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, Information Technology Management or related field; five years of experience managing computer networks, systems and applications; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license and provide a copy of their driving record prior to hire.
This is a salaried, union position with excellent pay, benefits and municipal pension system. Anticipated hiring range is $101,610.08 – $126,337.12, depending on qualifications- full career range is $142,278.24.
