The town of Westport (pop. 16,000) is seeking to fill the position of Assistant Planner. Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to: Assist the Planner and the Planning Board in the development and implementation of plans and policies, regulations, bylaws, MS4 permitting, grant writing and warrant articles; conduct research, data gathering and analysis, conduct site inspections, provide administrative support to municipal boards, commissions and committees; and manage the department in the absence of the Planner. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in planning or bachelor’s degree in related field and two years of experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
