Town Planner

Job Description

The town of Holbrook is seeking a qualified and motivated professional to serve as its next Town Planner.

This newly established position will provide professional planning, zoning, community development, and project coordination services while supporting the Town Administrator, Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals, Conservation Commission, and other municipal boards and committees.

The successful candidate will play a key role in guiding responsible growth and development, supporting affordable housing initiatives, managing development review processes, pursuing grant opportunities, and assisting with long-range planning and capital projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in planning, public administration, public policy, community development, or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Three to five years of municipal planning, zoning, or related experience.
• Knowledge of Massachusetts planning and zoning laws.
• Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
• AICP certification preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary Range: $75,000 – $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
• Comprehensive municipal benefits package.
• Full-time, 40-hour work week.
• Occasional evening meetings required.
