Pepperell seeks candidates for a full-time Town Planner to manage the town’s land development processes. Working under the direction of the Town Administrator, this benefitted, exempt position provides planning related technical assistance to the Planning Board, ZBA, the Town Administrator’s Office, and other boards as required.
A minimum of five years of experience in land use planning is required, preferably in Massachusetts. Must be familiar with local zoning bylaws, regulations, and applicable state statutes including MGL Ch.40A, 40B, and 41. Position requires exceptional written and verbal skills, intermediate office computing experience, positive customer service with applicants, attorneys, engineers, and co-workers.
Position requires high levels of organization, time-management, customer service, integrity, and attention to detail.
A bachelor’s degree in planning or a related field is required. Master’s degree preferred. AICP certification preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license. The anticipated hiring salary is $70,000-74,000.00 annually, DOQ.
