The town of Wayland seeks qualified applicants for the position of Treasurer/Collector. Reporting to the Town Administrator, the Treasurer/Collector performs administrative and supervisory work involving the receipt, expenditure, and custody of municipal funds, including investment and borrowing of money, custody of tax title properties, and the collection of all money due to the town.
This position requires knowledge equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field and four years of experience in a senior financial management capacity. Experience working in a municipal Treasurer/Collector’s office is preferred. Candidates must be bondable for at least the amount required by the Department of Revenue. Candidates must be certified, or working toward certification, by the Massachusetts Collectors and Treasurers Association.
