Who is a member?
Our members are the local governments of Massachusetts and their elected and appointed leadership.
Oversight finance functions including tax collections, tax and utility billing, tax title, treasury, local revenue collections, cash management, HR, (include but not limited to payroll, unemployment claims, employee insurance, benefits), investment of funds and management of debt service, and financial reports. Bachelor’s degree in public administration or finance with five to seven years related work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Certification from the Mass Treasurers/Collector’s Assoc. within three years of appointment. Must be able to secure a public surety bond.
