The town of Southbridge is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Treasurer/Collector. This position is anticipated to become vacant on March 11.
The Treasurer/Collector is responsible for the custody, investment, disbursement, and collection of all municipal funds and revenues, including tax collections, cash management, debt issuance, insurance administration, and departmental operations. The position reports to the Town Manager and operates in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in public administration, finance, business, government, or a related field; three to five years of financial or cash management experience (municipal experience preferred); ability to become bonded; Massachusetts Treasurer/Collector Certification or active pursuit of certification preferred.
