The town of Eastham is seeking a Treasurer/Collector to play a visible leadership role with the opportunity to shape core financial operations and play a key role in the town’s continued fiscal stability. This position offers real visibility, autonomy, and impact, and reports to Finance Director. This position is ideally full-time and onsite; however, the town offers flexible hybrid and remote work arrangements for the right candidate.
This role is about more than numbers—it’s about trust. As Treasurer/Collector, you’ll serve as the town’s financial anchor, overseeing revenue collections, cash and treasury management, payroll, debt service, investments, and disbursements. You’ll advise leadership, support departments, and interact with residents and businesses—bringing sound judgment, customer focus, and deep knowledge of Massachusetts municipal finance to everything you do.
This position is well suited for a Deputy or Assistant Treasurer ready to step into a leadership role with autonomy in a well-structured Finance Department.
The salary range for this position is $96,958 to $143,013 annually contingent upon experience and qualifications (with an anticipated starting salary approximating $120,000).
