The Town of Stow is seeking qualified applicants for the full time position of Treasurer-Collector, working under the direction of the Town Administrator, and supervising two employees. Responsibilities include cash management and revenue collection activities, investment of town funds, management of tax title and foreclosure activities, managing the Town’s debt service, including the issuance of bonds, administration of payroll and employee benefits, and other related duties.
Qualifications: Preferred candidates will possess Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field and have at least five years of related experience in a municipal finance setting; have a thorough knowledge of municipal procedures and laws; be bondable and be certified or working toward certification by the Massachusetts Treasurer-Collector Association.
The salary range is $63,090 to $78,864 as well as an educational incentive bonus program of 5%, 10% and 15% depending on the level of college education together with a full range of standard benefits.
