Treasurer Collector

Mayor Paul Brodeur is searching for a progressive leader to fill a multi-faceted and fulfilling role in the field of Municipal Finance. The Treasurer Collector oversees the city’s investments, cash management and revenue collection activities under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer. We seek a seasoned Treasurer Collector who has the energy and vision to develop a strategic plan for the department and who has the ability to guide successful organizational change.

The qualified candidate is a leader in the Municipal Finance field; has demonstrated knowledge of applicable state and federal laws relating to municipal finance and taxation; a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field with five to seven years demonstrated experience with and knowledge in municipal procedures and in local government finance and accounting. Certification as a treasurer and/or collector by the MA Collectors and Treasurers Association is preferred or must be acquired within two years from date of hire.
