The town of Harvard is seeking candidates for Treasurer/Collector, a position appointed by the Town Administrator. The successful candidate will perform a range of municipal finance functions including the collection of taxes and local receipts, tax and utility billing, tax title, treasury, local revenue collections, cash management, payroll, reconciliation of cash and receivables, and investment of town funds, all in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws and Department of Revenue rules. Supervises two assistants. Bachelor’s degree in finance or business administration, five to seven years of experience in municipal finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Possess or be able to obtain Certification by the Massachusetts Collectors and Treasurers Association within three years of appointment. Salary commensurate with education and experience. Experience with MUNIS financial software and Harpers Payroll systems desired.
