The town of Plymouth seeks qualified applicants for the position of Water Quality and Service Manager for the Department of Public Works, Water Division.

Responsible for the oversight of Water Department employees in the installation, repair and maintenance of water treatment, water distribution, and construction projects to all aspects of the water operation. Assists with the costing and scheduling, planning and budgeting of work projects; responsible for water quality and service safety issues, regulatory compliance and permitting in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations; all other related work as required. Will be required to work outside of normal business hours including evenings and weekends and may be contacted at any time to respond to important situations and emergencies. Works under the general direction of the Water Superintendent.

Associate’s degree in natural sciences, engineering, business management, environmental science, or related field; bachelor’s degree preferred; three to five years of progressively responsible experience in municipal water/wastewater or related field including a minimum of three years progressive supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Special Requirements: T-2, D-3 Drinking Water Operator’s licenses; or to obtain within six months of hiring. Valid MA Class D motor vehicle operator’s license.
