Greenville, NH is seeking qualified certified Water/Sewer operators. Applicants should have NHDES Water Treatment Grade 1+, and a Grade 2 or higher Wastewater Treatment certification, or be able to obtain through intra-state reciprocity. Position requires participation in an on-call rotation, with some night, weekend, and overtime work required. Pay is commensurate experience: Range $25.00 – $44.00/hour.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Greenville Operators are responsible for operation and maintenance of the Town’s Water (Grade III Treatment, Grade I Distribution) and Wastewater (Grade II) Facilities, including operation, maintenance, and limited administration. Duties include, but are not limited to, maintenance of all physical treatment plant facilities, emergency response, process monitoring, and laboratory testing, as well as record keeping duties including data collection, organization, and retention. Applicant should be able to complete tasks with limited supervision once trained, and follow protocols to ensure all Federal, State, and local safety regulations are followed.
DESIRED SKILLS AND TRAITS: The ideal candidates will be experienced in the operation of water (surface water treatment is a plus) and/or wastewater facilities, including an ability to learn, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems, and have Scada/controls systems familiarity. Ability to use technology; Understanding of basic math and ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
