Water-Sewer Superintendent

Job Description

Charlton is seeking a full-time Water/Sewer Superintendent to join our team. Working under the general supervision of the Water/Sewer Commission, the Water/Sewer Superintendent is responsible for providing a potable and reliable water supply for residential, commercial
uses and fire protection, and for providing for the healthful transport of wastewater to the wastewater treatment plant for treatment and discharge.
Qualifications:
• Associate degree in civil engineering or related field, additional technical training, and five to seven years of increasingly responsible experience in public works water/sewer utility systems maintenance; bachelor’s degree preferred or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Garde 5C or higher MA wastewater operator license and Grade 2d or higher drinking water license are desirable but not required.
Benefits include two weeks vacation and three personal days after six months, 15 sick days per year, 13 paid holidays, Worcester County Regional Pension, Health, Dental, Life,Vision, Disability and many other benefits offered.Hiring Range is $42.62 – $47.07/hr depending on qualifications with Full Salary Range of $42.64 – $53.27/hr through step progression.depending on experience and qualifications. Position will remain open until filled.
